Kiwanis One Day - 04/09/2016

Priscilla Clark Peabody, Judy Kierys., Jane P. H. Bernoudy (New London Lions Club ), Linda Danztler., Dan Coburn. and Reona Dyess  volunteered at the New London Kiwanis Club's One Day of Service project, making over 100 children at Early Childhood Center at Harbor School happy by reading books to the children! All the children received a brand new book to take home for ever and ever! 

     Each year, Kiwanis clubs around the world join in a day of service. Kiwanis One Day was established in 2007 to unite the Kiwanis family and their communities in the spirit of service and camaraderie to make an immediate and measurable impact on communities around the world.

  • 18th Robert Heal- Director and Volunteers Coordinator for The Salvation Army of New London’s Emergency Disaster Services Unit.
  • 25th:  Lindsey Riddi-New London Housing's Resident Services Coordinator.

N. Blake King Scholarships - 01/18/2016

These prestigious scholarships are named in the memory of N. B. King, a long time member of the Kiwanis Club of New London and a former governor of the New England District of Kiwanis in 1966.

Applications are evaluated on academic achievement, financial need, community service and extracurricular activities.

Applications are accepted from students at the attending high school in thefollowing towns: New London, Waterford, Groton, East Lyme, Lyme-Old Lyme, Montville, Ledyard, and Norwich.

Applications for scholarships must be received by April 30, 2016. Applications are available in participating high schools guidance office or may be downloaded here.

The New London Kiwanis Club meets weekly in the Percy Dining Room located in the Clarke Center on the grounds of scenic Mitchell College, 437 Pequot Avenue, New London, Connecticut. Guests are welcome to attend.

New London Kiwanis rings the bells - 12/03/2015

The Kiwanis Club of New London will be bellringing to support the Salvation Army on December 19 rom 9am to 5pm. Teh club will be joined by high school students from area Key Clubs at Waterford, Ledyard, FItch and East Lyme High Schools. Please drop your spare change, or dollars, in the kettle and help out those in need this holiday season.
